Each of those Beaujolais villages makes such beautiful wine ! Have you tried cooling it beforehand? In the region the old guys carry it around with them in ice buckets when they play petanque. Geoff

Glad to find another fan of Grignolino ! It comes and goes at our favorite store here in Vermont -- a good wine store will know about it and get you a case. Good luck! Geoff

I have stopped by several years in a row now to purchase a case of their Grignolino and have never been disappointed. As you say it is the servant of food and I have found I can serve this with almost any meal and have my guests raving about this wine.

Now if I could only find a place to purchase it here in the states.

Had it last week at Il Capriccio in Waltham, MA, just outside Boston. Color of the wine on the lighter (nebbiolo) side. Closed nose to start off with, but evolving during our meal. Flowery, licorice, and mineral aromas. A touch of saddle, added my daughter. A delicate, fruity wine, with soft tannins, that is good now, and should be great after 8-10 years in your cellar. http://bit.ly/n3q3r1
